Donnagh is an Irish director based in Meath/Dublin. His debut film "Tiger Tiger" and subsequent short film "Turf" premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival during their festival runs. 

 

Donnagh gained valuable industry experience working on various short and feature films, as well as productions for renowned artists Kodaline, Gavin James, and Walking on Cars.

He has Produced, Directed, and Written content for companies Fáilte Ireland, Wonderbread Films, Bold Puppy Productions, In the Company of Huskies, Paragon Records, House 9 Films and VideoWorks. 

At the 2023 Cannes Lions, Donnagh was honoured with the Silver Screen award in the Young Director's Award (YDA) for his 'Dream Pitch' short film 'I DON'T DANCE'.

 

Donnagh's 2024 film "Lonely Island" for folk band Amble received the award for 'Best Music Video' at the LNDN Music Video Awards and the Nottingham Music Video Awards, as well as 'Best Low-Budget Music Video' at the Munich Music Video Awards and the Rome Music Video Awards where Donnagh also received the award for 'Best Director'. 


His music video "Waterfalls" won 'Best Short' in the Surreal category of Beyond The Short's 'Curated Indie Shorts Film Festival', and was recently shortlisted for 'Short of the Year 2023' by Short Films Matter.  Waterfalls also received Honourable Mentions as Finalist's for 'Best Low-Budget Music Video' and 'Best Director' at the 2023/24 Munich Music Video Awards and the Rome Music Video Awards.

Donnagh's diverse body of work has featured in Beyond the Short, Hot Press, Wonderland, Scannain.com, Short Films Matter, Retrospective of Jupiter, IMRO, Pure Mzine, Glasse Factory, and many more.
