Ghostland | Short Film
DRAMA | 5m | 2023
GHOSTLAND is 'The Director's Cut' version of Donnagh Fitzpatrick's short film 'Lonely Island' in collaboration with the three-piece folk ensemble Amble. It entails the expedition of an elderly gentleman as he traverses his homeland one final time. With the passing of his beloved, the once-significant place that held profound meaning in their lives has now become a desolate, monochrome expanse in the absence of her warmth and vibrancy.
In the vast and wild Irish landscape, the man's footsteps lead him through the elemental forces of nature—wind, earth, fire, and water—each unveiling a tapestry of cherished memories. Amidst the sweeping scenes, his younger self and the ghost of the woman he loved come to life, their presence weaving not only a tale of personal connection but also a profound intertwining with the very essence of the island they once called home.

Turf | Short Film
DRAMA | 10m | 2017
In the 1980's Irish countryside, old man Oscar has spent his life working in the isolated bog lands. Haunted by memories from his past, he constantly thinks on the old tales his father told him of the mysterious bodies sacrificed by ancient kings for the prosperity of the bogland. He's fond of a drink and with his poor health and devotion to the land, his lonesome life becomes a struggle.
'Turf' is a 2017 short film I wrote and directed while in Film School. In 2022 I decided to re-edit my old film, giving it a much needed polish in order to share with the world once again. A special thank you to everyone that made this film come to life, with a shoestring budget it was only made possible by the passion and dedication of the generous team around me.

Tiger Tiger | Short Film
DRAMA | 12m | 2016
In the middle of the night, a young man ventures down to his local to acquire the assistance of his trusted bartender in the disposal of a body.
'Tiger Tiger' is the first film I ever made, it was a bold attempt at a young age that threw my colleagues and I into the deep end. They say the best way to learn how to make a film is by picking up a camera and making one - this is exactly that.
